Log Cabins or timber buildings have tremendous potential for commercial use.  The environmental benefit of Cabinco log buildings are becoming important across a variety of different sectors.  Holiday lodges have long been popular and now the potential for Nursery Buildings and Schools as well as Visitor Centres and Office Buildings is being recognised as more and more businesses and societies learn the importance of the log cabin in creating a building which is both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally sensitive.

There are many reasons why a log building may be selected, often simply because it is the most likely design to blend in to the environment, which is demonstrated in the photograph of a substantial structure in a forest setting.  Log cabin buildings are extremely versatile and can be designed to meet many different purposes.  The natural thermal qualities make log cabin buildings a low cost option for heating as well and with the natural calm which the timber surroundings invoke, they have proved popular for schools and offices as well.  Cabinco are proud to have constructed the Junior Building for the Manchester Grammar School and believe that this is the largest building of this construction style in the UK.

All Cabinco buildings are built from a minimum 68mm log, although some larger buildings have required 90mm log.  They are all built with toughened double glazed windows and doors and benefit from multi-point locking devices to provide good security.  Where items of value are stored within the building, shutters can be supplied to blend in with the cabin and increase security still further.
